ZEISS STANDARD SPEED MK II
LENS OVERVIEW
Zeiss Standard Speeds were introduced between 1964 and 1975, originally designed for use with Arriflex film cameras. They deliver smooth, pleasing images with a cool colour rendition and medium contrast. Over the years, many iterations have been released, with the latest models featuring standard 0.8 gearing on the focus and iris rings. The Zeiss Standard Speed MK II lens set is an excellent choice for budget-conscious filmmakers looking to utilise a set of PL lenses. Compact and lightweight, these lenses are perfect for handheld shooting and offer a stunning vintage aesthetic. When shot wide open, they produce a distinctive contrast and beautiful bokeh, particularly in low-light conditions. These lenses require a bellows matte box to accommodate the extending focus barrel.
